Result: Effervescence (fizzing), carbon dioxide produced (test with limewater)

A

Test: Acidify solution with dilute nitric acid, then add aqueous silver nitrate

Result: White precipitate of silver chloride formed; precipitate soluble in ammonia solution

Result: White precipitate of barium sulfate formed
