Why is hygiene important?
Because you cannot see germs, correct food storage and preparation is necessary to keep food safe and help protect your family and friends from germs.

Explain how to wash and dry dishes correctly and in what order.
- Scrape dishes and stack on one side of the sink clearing benches of food and dishes.
- Half full the sink with hot water and detergent.
- Wipe benches over with a hot clean dish cloth.
- Wash dishes from cleanest to dirtiest e.g. Glasses, cutlery, plates, pots and pans.
- Allow to drain then dry thoroughly with a clean, dry tea towel.
- Let the washing water out. Rinse and Dry the sink.
- Put dishes away in the position where they belong.
