a. Arthroscopy nursing consideration
Inspections using arthroscope after local anesthetic/ injury-AEB swelling and redness, deterioration, also able to be therapeutic.
Nursing Action:
Wrap in compression.
Elevated and ice
Acetaminophen for mild pain
Verify the client has been NPO for at least 6 hours.
Instruct client to report unusual pain, bleeding, drainage, or swelling at the site.
Resume usual diet as tolerated.
Inspect dressing before discharge.
b. Electromyography nursing consideration
Thin needles placed in muscles to record stimuli response/ muscle weakness.
After the study if client experiences discomfort warm compresses to the area help relive discomfort

c. Bone Scan nursing consideration
To detect bone tumors
Radioisotope/2-3 hours after scan will occur following the injection.
Check allergies.
Increase fluids after
Ask the client to void immediately before the scan.
d. Arthrogram
View joint and movement
Anesthetic with contrast/ Check allergies to iodine
Compression bandage
Avoid strenuous activity.
Mild analgesic, ice
Might take sample of fluid.
Clicking noise expected findings for 2 days.

Look for asymmetry in spine by bending back and forth.
