a. Arthroscopy nursing consideration

A

 Inspections using arthroscope after local anesthetic/ injury-AEB swelling and redness, deterioration, also able to be therapeutic.

Nursing Action:
 Wrap in compression.
 Elevated and ice
 Acetaminophen for mild pain

 Verify the client has been NPO for at least 6 hours.
 Instruct client to report unusual pain, bleeding, drainage, or swelling at the site.
 Resume usual diet as tolerated.
 Inspect dressing before discharge.

A

 Thin needles placed in muscles to record stimuli response/ muscle weakness.

 After the study if client experiences discomfort warm compresses to the area help relive discomfort
- no caffeine
