cough, sore throat, nasal blockage and discharge and resp sounds
RSV: respiratory syncytial virus
THis is characterized by horseness, barking cough and inspiratory stridor with varying degrees of resp distress. It can affect the larynx, trachea and bronich resulting in obstruction and sweling esp in larynx
Croup syndromes
Hydration is key in this resp infection that causes horseness, a dry hacking cough(possibly white sptum), flushed skin, high fever, pale color to cynaosis, retractions and nasal flaring and abd. pain photophobia and exhaustation.
Influneza (photoboia is light sensitive)
can have many pathogens
if bacterial it may have occurred after a viral infections

She has a sore throat, runny nose and fever and cough with wheeizing. Her foster family is sure not to use the same hand towel as her what does she have, What could have prevented it, what caused it? What is she more prone to untill age ________.
She has bronchiolitis,
caused by RSV,
neumax could have prevented it (given nov-march because it’s a winter spring disease).
can become severe
Emma is under 1-common. she is more prone for asthma development up to 13
This has an increased incidence when entering school but rare after seven. Children ofter recover in 72 hrs and this infection is often preceded by RSV or FLU?

Needs
Trach intubation (by skilled physicain)
Corticosteriods
antibiotics
while waiting on the doctor one of the nurses suggest you take a throat culture on John darling and start some o2 what is wrong with this?
Don’t visualize or get culture dangers and , no o2 b/c not beneficial.
This decreases incidence of Acute epiglottistis and is is given beginning at age____
