What is hypoxia?
What are symotoms
Not enough oxygen in the blood tissue
Can sneak up without warning
SYMPTOMS increased breathing Light headed Tingling or warm sensation Poor coordination Headache Sleepiness Ultimately pass out
Usually happens above 10,000 feet
What is TUC
Time of useful consciousness
Time from interruption of oxygen
to how much time to being passed out
More TUC if you are at lower altitude
HIGHER THE ALTITUDE THE LESS TIME YOU HAVE
EXAMPLE 18,000 feet 20 to 30 minutes
30,000 feet 1 to 2 minutes
40,000 feet 20 seconds
Less altitude more time

- Discovering FA
Gives commands to supportive FA and description of the fire class of fire and location of fire
Ex. Call the capt. we have a class C fire in the aft LAV with a smell or a flame knee high

And discovering FA stays with the 🔥
