A
Multiprotein complexes that provide contact between neighboring cells or between a cell and the extracellular matrix.

What are the possible functions of cell junctions?
A
Bond cells together, reduce stress placed on cells, build up the paracellular barrier of epithelia, control the paracellular transport, and enable communication between neighboring cells.
