A type of poem of the Victorian era. It contained strange viewpoints, illusions and a juxtapositions/discontinuous effect.
It’s syntax was considered twisted and elliptical.
It was grotesque and horror driven.
Themes:
Love, money, abuse, control (sexual and art), masculinity.
The imagery was bi-focal.
