Why- White settlers discovered gold on a reservation which was exclusively controlled by the sioux
Events/ Affects- All of Custer’s men dead and they transformed American policies because it was a huge defeat of our army vs natives. US troops will flood the area forcing the natives onto smaller reservation.

Why- revenge for Little Big Horn and Natives on the reservation were practice a new dance called ghost dancing which was supposed to get native American culture back to the United States
Events- 150-300 Sioux were killed by US army troops and most were children, Sitting Bull was killed on top of it
Effects- The Great Sioux reservation was decreased by 2/3 , the last organized conflict with the Native Americans
