Trust vs. Mistrust, child learns to trust or distrust their caregiver based on if and how they care for them

Autonomy vs. Shame and doubt, develop sense of autonomy, potty training leads to feeling of independence

Initiative vs. Guilt, children assert power through play, in turn feel capable of leading others
What’s the fourth stage of development?
Industry vs. Inferiority, develop sense of pride in accomplishments and abilities, failure results in feelings of inferiority
