Ad: controls the number of pests on crops and doesn’t use any chemicals or cheap
Dis: it’s a slow process and they don’t kill all the pests completely

A

Ad: kills insects that damages crops and stops entry transferring from plants to pests
Dis: chemicals can get washed into rivers and lakes and end up in our food chains and in 1960 when DDT got into the food chain and threatened populations of animals

Ad: large number of animals can be reared on a relatively small area of land and the quantity and quality of food for example cereal eaten by the animals can be better controlled
Dis: increased risk of disease poor quality of product e.g eggs

Ad: fertilisers put more nutrients into the soil. This enables farmers to produce more crops in a smaller area of land
Dis: risk of environment pollution. Damage the natural balance of nutrients in the soil
