Fill Color

Border
A line you add along an edge of a cell to improve readability of the data.
Format Painter
Copies and pastes formatting from one cell or range to another without duplicating any data.
Typeface
The appearance of text is determined by it’s typeface, which is the specific design of a set of characters, including letters, numbers, punctuation marks, and symbols.
Bold or bold Italic
every font can be formatted with a not style such as italic and special effects such as underline and color.
Font
A set of characters that employ the same typeface such as Ariel, Roman and Courier.
Font Size
Can be increased or decreased the size of the text. They are measured in Points where one pint is approximately 1/72 of an inch.
Merge
Combining several cells into one cell.
Formatting
Process of changing a workbooks appearance by defining the font, styles, colors and decorative features.
Theme
A collection of formats for text, colors, images, and graphical effects applied throughout the workbook.
Theme Font
Associated with a particular theme and used for headings and body text in the workbook.
Non-Theme Font
When you don’t want to apply a font associated with a particular design.
Serif Fonts
Have extra decorative strokes at the end of each character.
Sans Serif Fonts
These style fonts do not include these decorative strokes.
Theme Colors
12 colors that belong to the workbook’s theme.
Accents
the five variations in which different tint or shading is applied to the theme color.
Standard Color
Always available regardless of the document theme.
Automatic Color
Option that uses your windows default text and background colors, usually black text on a white background.
Number Format
Which displays the values in a way that makes it easy for the reader to quickly understand and interpret them.
General Number Format
Displays values exactly as they are typed by the user.
Protection
Provides options for locking or hiding cells to prevent other users from modifying their contents.
