A

The QB receives the ball from the center on most plays, he tosses the ball to a running back, throws it to a receiver or runs with it. The QB is the leader of the offense and calls the plays that are signaled to him from the sidelines.

A

The running backs line up besides the QB and is trained in running with the ball. They also block, catch passes and sometimes pass the ball to others or even receive a snap. If a team has two running backs one is called a halfback and the other is called a tailback-who is more likely to block
