No, the DOC does not conduct cavity searches. It’s the most invasive form of a strip. It has to be completed by medical professionals

When doing an inmate count, what should you ensure you see?
The inmates are living. CO’s should observe breathing and flesh during counts.

A fresh search is used to prevent all contraband being moved
Describe informal count, formal count, and emergency count
Informal count can be completed anywhere. A formal count requires no one move and CEOs report. Emergency counts require use of the flesh book.

Can a CO transport an inmate of the opposite sex by themselves
No. There must be one CEO of the same gender to a company an inmate during transport.
