Cap and trade
Set a limit on how much greenhouse gas you can produce and you can trade unused quantities
ex. companies have a limit of how much fossil fuels they can use
Ice core
Cylinders of ice drilled from ice sheets or glaciers
Isotope
same # of protons, different # of neutrons
Fossil
remains/traces of ancient life that have been preserved in the Earth’s crust
Sedimentary rock
Formed over long periods of time from sediments of rock
Bias
tendency/prejudice towards/against something or someone, usually unfairly
Carbon footprint
represents the effect that you have on the environment by greenhouse gases produced in units of CO2.
Carbon tax
tax based on greenhouse gas emissions.
