What is osmotic diuresis
Increased urination due to the presence of certain substances in the fluid filtered by the kidneys e.g. glucose or electrolytes
Water intoxication
Overhydration - drinking too much water causing an imbalance of fluid and electrolytes
What is Nuchal Rigidity
Inability to flex the neck forward due to rigidity of the neck muscles - if flexion of the neck can still occur although it is painful nuchal rigidity is not present.
