How it Changed: it slowed down. In the baroque period, chords changed every few beats. In the classical period, they change every few measures.

Galant - graceful, gentle, playful, pleasant
Empfindsamkeit - Expresses powerful emotions by making sudden harmonic and rhythmic shifts.
Sturm und Drang - “storm and stress” was a “crash and bash” type of composition.

Multi-movement work for solo piano or instrument with piano accompaniment.
