Freedoms of Expression
1st amendment: speech, reglion, petition, assembly, press
Limits to the freedoms of the Bill of Rights
- expression limited in school
- no warrants required if you are a suspected terrorist or in school
- cannot practice reglion freely if it is endangering others
- need a permit to assemble
Due Process
the right to have certain procedures followed when you do something, the only right we have in school

one can practice reglion freely unless it endangers others

literally exactly what it says, 8th amendment

a good and fair reason for the government to interfere with the people’s rights
4th amendment
Eminent Domain
government taking private property for valid public purposes
5th amendment
Impartial Jury
unbiased, even jury
6th amendment
Miranda Rights
Rights that must be read to you during arrest, “you have the right to remain silent … a lawyer will be provided to you” etc.
5th amendment
The Patriot Act
act allowing gov to spy on suspected terrorists and investigate whatever they want without a warrant or probable cause
conclides with the 4th amendment (although never officially stated unconstitutional)
Capital Punishment
The Death Penalty (legal in 27 states and nationally, 5 legal methods in America today being hanging, gas chamber, firing squad, lethal injection, and electrocution)
