A crack or rupture in the Earth though molten magma

Natural process that could harm human and animals.

A scale sued to measure the strength of the earthquake by how much damaged it caused
Who is Alfred Wegener?
A German scientist that argued that all the continents were once joined together as one big thing.
What is Pangea?
The name of the joint land mass
What is a Trench?
Converging plates
What is a ridge?
Diverging plates
What are converging plates?
Plates moving TOWARDS each other or into each other
What are diverging plates?
Plates that are moving AWAY from each other
What are transversing plates?
Plates moving sideways each other
What do transversing plates make?
Faults e.g The San Andreas fault
What do converging plates make?
Mountains e.g Atlas Mountains
What do diverging plates make?
Islands e.g Hawaii
What are convection currents?
A circular movement in liquids caused by heat
What are convection cells?
The circle movement
What is a primary effect?
Short term effect when coming to a natural disaster’s damage (e.g Damage to buildings, bridges, damage and death with people and livestock)
What is a secondary effect?
A medium term effect when coming to the damage of natural disaster (e.g Contamination of water, disease, soil erosion or shortage of water or certain periods of time)
What is a tertiary effect?
A long term effect when coming to the damage of a neural disaster and its damage (e.g Cost of feeding, housing, tourism declines, rebuilding and clean up costs)
