Chemical Name, Generic Name, and Trade/Brand Name.

Over the counter drugs
PRN
Pro re nata, meaning as needed.
It is the degree to which a patient’s actions followed treatment recommendations.
PATIENT ADHERENCE

PHARMACOKINETICS
The transmission of medications from the location of administration to the blood stream.
ABSORPTION
The transportation of medication to sites of action by bodily fluids.
DISTRIBUTION
It changes medication into less active/inactive form by the action of enzymes.
METABOLISM
The process of elimination of drugs in the body.
EXCRETION
The percentage of administered drug available for activity.
BIOAVAILABILITY
The time it takes for the amount of drug in the body to be reduced by half.
HALF TIME
Giving a big initial dose in order to achieve a therapeutic impact while a steady state is attained.
