Health problems - our lungs are not strong enough to breathe in exhaust fumes every day so people get sick more often.

A

Plants - the fumes rise into the air and fall back to the eater as raindrops (acid rain). The harmful rain is absorbed by plants and they can become poisonous.
Animals - eat the harmful plants or they breathe in the harmful air.

The exhaust fumes rise high into the atmosphere and they damage the atmosphere. This allows more UV rays onto the earth and the earth gets warmer. It is called global warming.
