Konrad (2000), it considers a model based on rent seeking. its a general model which encompasses all other possible applications of sabotage in contests
what is the model framework for Konrad (2000)
n players winner takes all noisy contest with grand prize B. all players are risk neutral. all players simultaenously choose a vector of efforts (e_i,{s_ij} where j not = i) where e_i is the contest (productive) effort ie effort that benefits player i by increasing his chance of winning and decreasing th echances of other players altogether while s_ij is the sabotage effort directed at player j from i that decreases player j’s effective effort. marginal cost of contest and sabotage are identical and equal to 1. probability of iwnning is given by the CSF.
