Congress
The National Legislative body of a country.
Executive Branch
The Branch of the federal and state government that enforces laws.
Legislative Branch
The Branch of the federal and state government that creates the laws.
Judicial Branch
The Branch of the federal and state government that establish if a law is constitutional.
President
The elected head of a republican state and head of the executive branch.
Vice President
The position just below President that takes the Presidents place in occasions where he is either ill or dead.
Census
An official count or survey of a population, typically recording various details of individuals.
Supreme Court
Highest judicial court in a country or state, also known as the judicial branch.
House of Representatives
It is where the laws of the country are made and also known as part of the legislative branch.
Senate
Also forming part of the legislative branch
Liberalism
A political philosophy or worldview founded on ideas of liberty and equality.
Conservatism
Belief in the value of established and traditional practices in politics and society
Checks and Balances
Counterbalancing influences by which an organization or system is regulated, typically those ensuring that political power is not concentrated in the hands of individuals or groups.
Democracy
A system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives.
Politics
The activities associated with the governance of a country or other area, especially the debate or conflict among individuals or parties having or hoping to achieve power.
