Cluster headache:
How does it present?

How long do they tend to last?

What is given to manage an acute attack?

How is it prevented?

A

➊ Recurrent attacks of sudden-onset unilateral periorbital pain, associated with a watery and bloodshot eye, lacrimation, and rhinorrhoea

➋ 15 mins to 3 hours each day, over a period of 4-12 weeks, and followed by a pain-free period of months before the next cluster begins

HF O2 +/- SC/Nasal Sumitriptan

Verapamil
