- how did we know the size??

A
  • the reason why humans can have complicated speech
  • this region refers to the Superior Temporal Gyrus, BA 22 and Wernicke’s area
  • it is up to 10x bigger in the left hemisp than the right

=> measurements include surface area, cytoarchitectonic studies, asymmetry in white matter volume and myelination
