Where does plaque build up
It builds up on the surface of the teeth especially near the gums and between the teeth
What is plaque made up of?
It is made up of food,saliva and bacteria
What is tartar
Hardened plaque
What does tartar do
It stains teeth
What if plaque and tartar is not removed
The acids that are produced in the tartar and plaque will attack the enamel of the tooth witch is called tooth decay
What is the main cause of tooth decay
Eating to much sugar

A space at the centre of the tooth which contains blood vessels and nerves
