Crust:

A

-Earth’s most outermost layer.
-Solid
-Where the species known as humanity lives along with other species of organisms

11
Q

What’s the difference between the Lithosphere and the Asthenosphere?

A

The Lithosphere is solid, hard, and the layer that we live on; however, the Asthenosphere is soft, semi-solid, and is the layer that is under the Lithosphere.

14
Q

Difference between Oceanic Crust and Continental Crust?

A

Oceanic Crust is thinner, but more dense and made primarily of basalt.

Continental Crust is thicker, but lighter and composed primarily of granite.

As the oceanic crust is more dense than the continental crust, the oceanic crust sinks under continental crust when they move towards each other.
