Tecnam P2006t Systems Flashcards
Describe the wing
Tecnam P2006t
Two central aluminum spars; flaps are ailerons are connected to rear spar; the “torque box” between the spars contains the integrated fuel tank and supports the nacelle; all structures are wrapped in stressed aluminum skin.
Describe the fuselage
Tecnam P2006t
Light alloy, semi-monocoque, semi-stresses skin panels.
Describe the empennage
Tecnam P2006t
Horizontal and vertical are all-metallic; the horizontal empennage is a stabilator with (anti) trim tab.
Describe the primary flight controls
Tecnam P2006t
Manually operated by a conventional control column and rudder pedals, pulleys, cables, bell cranks, and rods. Longitudinal control (stabilator) is push-pull rods. Ailerons are both cables and push-pull rods in the wings.
Describe the flaps
Tecnam P2006t
Electrically actuated via switch on the instrument panel. 0*, T/O and LDG. An aural warning sounds if the flaps are full and the gear is not down and locked.
Is there rudder trim?
Tecnam P2006t
Yes. Rudder trim tab. Operated electrically via a control switch on the central console located between the seats.
Is there aileron trim?
Tecnam P2006t
Yes. Ground adjustable tab on the left aileron.
Is there longitudinal trim?
Tecnam P2006t
Yes. Small tab positioned on the stabilator. Manually operated by control wheel positioned between the two crew seats.
Describe the cooling system
Tecnam P2006t
Ram-air cooled cylinders; liquid cooled heads. A camshaft-driven water pump moves coolant from the radiator, to the cylinder heads, to an expansion tank above the engine; the expansion tank is closed by a pressure relief and return valve. At atmospheric pressures, coolant flows both ways to a transparent overflow bottle.
Describe the oil system
Tecnam P2006t
Dry-sump. Thermostatic valve regulates flow to the radiator on the basis of temperature (cold weather starting). Oil tank is behind the firewall
Describe the generators
Tecnam P2006t
14.2-14.8 Vdc, integrated voltage regulator, automatic over-voltage protection
Describe the battery
Tecnam P2006t
12-volt, 38 -Ah; an external Dc source can be connected to the Dc distribution system
How many microswitches are involved in the landing gear
Tecnam P2006t
6, 2 for each leg (UP/DN)
What do the three green landing gear lights mean?
Tecnam P2006t
That the pertinent leg is down and locked
What does a red landing gear light mean?
Tecnam P2006t
That the gear is in transition
What does an amber landing gear light mean?
Tecnam P2006t
That the pump/power pack is electrically supplied
How do you lower the landing gear in the event of power pack failure?
(Tecnam P2006t)
A nitrogen accumulator located in the tail supplies pressure for gear down, activated via a control panel on the cockpit floor
When does the landing gear warning horn sound?
Tecnam P2006t
When the gear are in the UP position, and either one or both throttles is set to idle or the flaps are set to LDG
Describe the brake system
Tecnam P2006t
A master cylinder is installed beneath each pilot/copilot’s rudder pedal. Vented reservoir –> Pilot-side –> copilot-side –> parking valve –> brake
Fuel system pathway
Tecnam P2006t
Tank - selector(s) - gascolator - electric fuel pump - firewall - mechanical fuel pump - distribution to carburetors, fuel pressure unit, and return line
What elements of the fuel system are “on” the tanks
Tecnam P2006t
fuel vent, sump, and quantity sensor
