3. The quality of product can be improved because machinery are less likely to make mistakes. So less wastage more money saved.
4. Production can flexible. Machinery can be programmed to make a variety of products.
5. Repetitive or dangerous jobs can be made by machinery.

1. When a firm introduces new technology it may need to make workers redundant if the machines do the work instead of them. So costs may be high.
2. The more complex the machines, the more expensive they are.
