What happens when we warm up?
To increase our heart rate
more blood is pumped around body
muscles get more oxgen, which make them work effectively.
Our muscles become more elastic, allowing us to be more flexilable. our core temperature is raised and our joints are mobilsed.
Why is warming up important?
prepares body for exercise and prevents injuries
Why do we cool down and what happens when we do?
decreases heart rate
decreases dizziness or fainting
more time is allowed for body to adjust
prevents muscles soreness
