Commercial management. Can you give me an example when you’ve completed a value engineering exercise?

A

At HMP Wood Hill as commercial manager I carried out a commercial impact assessment of a change in design to reduce the still support components working alongside the structure engineer I assessed in quantified the design cost in time of the revised design and material process. Presented this back as an ad admit to the original allowance to the client.

A

At Peak East I produced monthly CVR reports to compare the overall project cost and value. All works in progress accounted for including liabilities and across within the period. I have reviewed the risk and contingency items within the project budget and identified completed items.

A

At Branford substation the risk allowances for work area one were not required due to a GPR survey being completed. Management team that any remaining risk allowance be carried over into the remaining work areas. Hard ground conditions have been encountered in work area one which meant a transfer contingency into phase 2 works ground conditions item

A

Project manager issued guidance on dealing with COVID-19 restrictions and how they should be a deer to on site. I assess the impact of the restrictions and conducted an analysis of the commercial implications on the project budget and program. I advised the project manager that resequencing of works would enable staggered brakes and social distancing. I assess the financial implications on time and cost in comparison to the previous project outputs.

A

I assessed the cost impact of a changing design for a 2000 mm reinforced concrete slab. CV is requested by a design team which found the bearing value of the saw below was not suitable to carry the weight of the slab. I assessed the commercial impact of an additional A303 mesh required to achieve the design

A

H&P Channing Wood assessed a concept design layout which was generic and did not make consideration for ground make up and bridging over services. After a GPS survey the services positions were confirmed and I assess the impact of the design changes on time and cost.

Can you explain your assessment of protecting steelwork?

A

Project Sunrise the still work became damaged due to the harsh coastal conditions. Three options. Offsite manufacturing a marine grade powder coating. In situ covering the affected areas with brown thorax and zinc galvanising spray. Remove and reinstall. In situ painting was the most commercial advantageous as shipping to the UK and removal and reinstalled other significant impact and time and cost.

Can you explain your work at Branford substation for construction technology

A

Concrete cracking repairs were required and I assess the impact of three options. Resident injection. Concrete patching. Remove and reinstall. Recommended resin injection as it provided suitable long-term solution and could be delivered in a median time and cost impact. Presented the works in a slide deck to the main contractor.

A

At Branford substation I was responsible for submitting CE notifications in line with the NEC3 option A impact on the defined cost and planned completion. I also completed AFP’s assessing the current work completed an amount due within the period.

A

At Project sunrise or reviewed the main contract in line with the clients requirements and advised on the appropriate option secondary option and causes. I drafted the NEC3 contract and documentation such as data part one.

At Branford substation for the supply and install and commissioning of earthing works. I stated out LEDs would be applied and defect responsibilities. I’m sure little fencing risk exposure was delegated through track core clauses four and Z clauses to prevent ambiguity. I outlined the LAD and how they would apply to each sectional completion date within contract date part one

A

Barking substation under NEC3 option a subcontract. I undertook a review of the subcontractors works information contract obligations project timeline and deliverables. I advised program requirements and sub activities would be incorporated to avoid cash flow issues.

A project sunrise I drafted the RFP including works information site information and drawings. I issued the ITT and was responsible for commercial tender queries, clarification and negotiation.

A Bradford substation liaise with the estimating department to ensure attend the queries issued in a prompt manner along with risk clarification. I reviewed the activity schedule and worked alongside the plan to ensure bid was comprehensive and competitive. I then drafted track data part two and it should all required documentation was returned to the contractor within time stated.

A

At fiddlers ferry substation advised a client that a designing bill contract would be most appropriate. The clients requirements were a timely delivery and cost certainty. I recommended that we would sign up to a call of contract single supply framework with a contractor undertaken the design design and construction of the security systems and under a negotiated tender to agree the contract sum

Can you explain a time when you advised and managing contracting procurement route?

A

At Alcatel London Office a cost-efficient project was required with a suitable for prompt start. The JCT600 minor works contract with project specific amendments.

I lead a single stage tender for each element of the works and manage tender clarifications. I advise my client that the tender should be scored 60% quality and 40% cost as client key requirement was a high-quality product supplied. Using normalisation I produced a tender report to compare prices received.

A

I’ve add additional procurement route for the platform time installation and internal design completion. The works had to be completed in the possession time constraints so therefore advised a single stage tended be used vice led to the contract award and production of NEC3 subcontract documents.

A

I will substation I was managing and assessing periodic payments to subcontractors under the NEC3 option A. I assessed the PWDD up to the end of the month provided logical and contractual reasoning for the variances.

A

A project summarise, assess the current cost curve within each period and compared to the tender allowances. I demonstrated to the PM the performance against the £2 million budget and updated the internal cash flow forecast.

A

I was responsible for periodic cost reports utilising financial reports on expenditure and periodic cost reports. I would assess the work done date and subcontractor applications to produce a period and full year expenditure forecast.

A

I was responsible for assessing applications for payment. I based my assessment on total of the work completed date within the activity schedule against the program outputs and measures taken on site. I would include suitable level of detail of how the sum final was achieved.
