Why are team skills important?
A
Team members bring different backgrounds, skills, abilities, opinions and ideas. A team has the same purpose and works together to achieve goals.

What is the difference between groups and teams?
A
Team = a cohesive communicative group of people who have very specific roles, share a common purpose and works together to achieve clearly identified goals.
Groups = members tend to have their own agendas and work towards their own individual goals.

What types of teams can you work in?
A
- Project team - created to complete a particular task or project usually chosen by management.
- Participative team - created teams to complete a range of duties. Members take initiative and participate in decision making.
- Self Managed Team - created to respond quickly to changing circumstances. Team members have high levels of control creating new ideas and making decisions.
