Because if you were a low scoring extravert in a sales position for instance, you wouldn’t do so well. To increase sales and become successful in your role, you must improve your outgoingness and communication skills.

Why are goals important in hiring?
1) You want to fill functional gaps/weaknesses
you want some people with an engineering background working with those from a marketing background
You want compatible people with the same vision
And you want to build credibility with outside world regarding ability and low risk

Norms - has to do with the way the expectations the team puts out for themselves and how the team functions accordingly.
