Team Dymanics part ii Flashcards
Forming
team members are introduced to each other. Leaders highlight each person’s skills and backgrounds.
Storming –
new ideas are presented in meetings that may translate to long-term projects. The team leaders encourage competition among team members and a long-term plan is put into action
Norming
at this point, teams are effectively working together. Responsibilies and goals are clear for each team member. Now that team members are out of the storming stage, they are able to listen to each other’s Feedback and have become efficient at their work.
Performing
there is virtually zero absence of trust among team members. Teams now can function at peak efficiency without too much oversight from team leaders. Timelines and progress don’t have to be compromised now that clear and well-defined strategies for resolving problems have been put into place.
Adjourning
teams complete their project. Each team member gives and receives feedback on how well they did and what they could have improved on. Once that happens, the team moves on to new projects.
