- must find a way to help each student make progress, regardless of what level of proficiency the student is starting from
What approach to teachers need to take to meet students where they are at
Pedagogical approach
It doesn’t matter what teacher knows, understands and can do, what matters
What teacher can help the students know, understand and do
Who must teachers be patient and supportive to
Patient to students who are struggling to learn
Supportive of students when they struggle
Without goals…
You dont know where you’re headed
Teaching as a goal oriented activity

How do we make goals for instruction
Clearly identify what type of learning experience we want to try and create
Helps make thoughtful and consistent decisions regarding your instructional path
What are the 3 most important things for PE
- Where we are going (outcomes)
- How do we get there (plan)
- How do we know when were there (assessments)
