What area does TBE affect?
A
From Eastern France to northern Japan, from northern Russia to Albania. Highly focal (forested areas with adjacent grasslands/meadows/parks) in most endemic countries. However may invade wooded suburbs and urban parks.

Do you need boosters?
A
Yes, three to five yearly according to age (3 years in adults >/=50). There is data that after first booster there is good protection for up to six years.

Egg allergy (only under close clinical supervision) Gentamicin, neomycin allergy

A
90% after two doses (one month after series initiation), almost 100% after three doses
