Creates damp, weakens muscles, if kidney is diseased don’t eat sweet foods
Pungent, acrid, spicy functions

Injures yin and qi avoid in qi xu
If liver is diseased dint eat
Salty functions
Flows downward, softens hardness
Treats constipation and swelling
Goes to kidney

Dries blood, avoid in blood xu
If heart is diseased do not eat salty

Gen fluid and yin
Astringent can control sweat and diarrhea,
