Tashahhud

Question 1

التَّحِيَّاتُ للهِ الصَّلَوَاتُ، وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ

Attahiyyaatu lillaahi wassalawaatu , wattayyibaatu

Answer 1

All greetings of humility are for Allah and all prayers and goodness

Question 2

السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
assalaamu ‘alayka ‘ayyuhan-Nabiyyu wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu

Answer 2

Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.

Question 3

السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللهِ الصَّالِحِينَ.

assalaamu ‘alaynaa wa ‘alaa ‘ibaadillaahis-saaliheen

Answer 3

Peace be upon us and upon the righteous slaves of Allah.

Question 4

أّشَْدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ

Ash-hadu ‘an laa ‘ilaaha ‘illallaahu

Answer 4

I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah,

Question 5

وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

wa ‘ash-hadu ‘anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa Rasooluhu.

Answer 5

and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger.
