This Course will discuss all the Introduction Material that the TASER Instructor must present to participants prior to each Training Session. These include: The Current Training Version, Release Forms and Liability Waivers, Safety Rules, Goals of the User-Certification Course, Warnings and Cautions, Etc.

What is the goal of the TASER CEW User-Certification Course?
To provide the basic operational theory and practical training to reasonably safely and effectively operate TASER CEW (Conducted Electrical Weapons).
What does “CEW” stand for?
CEW = Conducted Electrical Weapon.
What are the Safety Rules for the X2 Course?
1) No Live Firearms in the Training Area
2) Every participant is a Safety Officer and should bring
attention to all unsafe conditions. If an unsafe
condition occurs, the Student or Instructor will
yell, “STOP ACTION!”
3) ALL Activity Stops when, “Stop Action,” is called.
4) The CEW’s Safety Switch will remain in the down
(SAFE) position unless the Instructor directs students
to arm the CEW or when it’s appropriate during drills
or scenarios.
5) CEWs must NOT be pointed and any person or body
part unless the Instructor directs the Student to do so.
6) A CEW loaded with a live cartridge must not be
pointed at another person or body part except during
Voluntary Exposures.
7) An LS (blue) Training Cartridge must be used for
simulation exercises when the target is wearing a
Protective Simulation Suit.
8) Laser(s) must never be pointed at eyes.
9) Probes must be removed according to proper
protocol.
10) Students should not be given live cartridges until
they need them for firing drills or scenarios. All
Reloading and other Drills should use expended
cartridges.
The Instructor will direct students to secure all firearms outside of the Training Area prior to the start of instruction. How often should the Instructor REPEAT this Firearms and Live Ammunition Warning?
1) At the beginning of each Training Day.
2) After Lunch Breaks.
3) Any time a Student leaves the Training Area and returns.
4) Prior to all Drills, Exercises, and Scenarios.

test for weapon system you are certifying them on
such as User-Certification Checklist, User-Certification
Application and Instructor/User Release Liability

not they are taking a TASER CEW exposure.
