VENTS
Types of vents
- MAIN SOIL VENT - portion of the soil pipe stack
- MAIN VENT - the terminal of the smallest forms of trap ventilation
- INDIVIDUAL VENT - portion of the vent pipe which serves a single trap
- UNIT VENT - ventilates two fixture traps
- CIRCUIT OR LOOP VENT - employed where two or more fixture traps are installed on a horizontal soil or waste branch.
- RELIEF VENT - ventilates soil and waste pipe other than the fixture traps.
- YOKE OR BY-PASS VENTILATION - installed at 3 to 5 floor intervals
designed to allow water to enter or exit through holes or slots along the pipe
PERFORATED PIPE
commonly known as conductor or downspout. connects the roof terminal to the storm drain
