  • Rolling Thunder: extensive bombing in Vietnam <– not so effective costing $900 million
  • Agent Orange: a toxic plant-killing chemical that could cause cancer, birth disorder and life-threatening health complications.
  • Napalm bombs
    Used a total of 11 million gallons of Agent Orange altogether
  • Search and Destroy: went to villages and started killing people who were suspected of the Viet Cong soldiers.

The Viet Cong used this as they had little to no hope that they could defeat the U.S. forces in a battle. Therefore, their aim was to attack the U.S. troops in small groups and then disappear into the surroundings.
