A
A period of intense rivalry between the USA and USSR following WW2.
The Cold War was a war of Propaganda, a mind war and a conflict between the values of Communism and Capitalism

A
- Democratic Government: Everyone has the right to vote
- Free Economy: Can buy and sell for profit
- Belief in Human Rights
- Private Ownership: People own their own homes and business
- Unemployment Exists: Large gap between the rich and poor
- Belief in Basic Freedom: Limited role of Secret Police

What is Communism?
A
- State Control Economy: Everyone works for the state
- Police State: Can arrest people with little to no reason
- Full Employment: Work and jobs for everyone
- State owns all property
- World Revolution: Expansions across the globe
- Free Health Care and Education: Provided by state

A
- Capitalism: Government interference (妨害) in the economy should be limited
- Communism: Belief that Government should control the economy for the benefit of all citizens

Competition
A
- Capitalism: Competition is healthy and encourages individuals to be the best they can be
- Communism: Competition pits people against each other, therefore, they should not have competitions.

A
- Capitalism: Profit is a fair reward for effort. Different wages for different jobs encourage people to aim higher.
- Communism: Profits kept in the hands of a few represent the exploitation of workers.
