What are the insulin therapy regimens?

A
  1. Twice daily regimen: a mixture of rapid-acting insulin and intermediate-acting isophane insulin is administered before breakfast and before dinner
  2. Basal-bolus regimen: long acting insulin is given at night and rapid-acting insulin before each meal, according to carbohydrate intake
  3. Continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion: fewer hypoglycaemic episodes
