T Cell Med. Immunity Flashcards
CD+ Th1
Acti. IL-12
Mature Naive T cell secrete
CCR7
T cell activation
1) TCR/HLA Antigen recognition
2) CD40L on T cell binds to CD40 on DC
3) DC expresses B7 (enhances)
Downstream activation of T Cells
Involves ITAMs and act. of ZAP-70 with zeta chain
CD69
Upon T cell activation with appropriate antigen, sequesters T cell as this chemokine attaches to S1PR(autocrine signaling)
CD4+ Treg cells
Influenced by IL-2, IL-10 and TGF-B. Expresses CTLA-4 and CD25.
Difference betweenn CTC vs THC is
CTC expressed FasL vs THC expresses CTLA-4
Effector t cell doesnt need
costimulator B7(CD80)-CD28
Th1
Proliferate with help of IL-12 and IL-2. Secretes IFN-Y and TNF-alpha.
Classical macrophage activ. and acts on intracellular pathogens such as in chronic inflammation and autoimmunity.
Th2
Proliferate in response to IL-4 from mast, basophil and surrounding th2 cells. Secrete IL-4, IL-5 and IL-13.
Involved in eosinophil, mast cell and ALTERNATIVE macro. activation. Defends against helminths due to allergy.
Th17
Proliferate in response to IL-1 and IL-6 from DCs.
Secretes IL-17 and IL-22.
Involved in neutrophil act. against extracellular bacteria and fungi. Involved in autoimmunity and inflammation.
Secrete IL-17 and IL-22
IL-5
Increase eosinophil migration
IL-13
Inc. production of mucus in epithelial cells
IL-17
Inflammatory. Recruitment of pro-inflammatory leukocytes.Antimicrobial peptide production.
IL-22
Promotes regenerative responses within epithelial barrier. Antimicrobial peptide production.
