(7) Acceptable for ground operation at and below 20% torque.
Start ITT °C
871-1000 (5 sec)
Start Oil Pressure psi
200 Max
Start Oil Temp °C
-40 Min
Transient Torque %
132 Max (20 sec)
(8) Torque at 132% is a materials limit above which damage to the engine may occur. Torque above 102% is indicative of a system malfunction.
Starter Limitations
1st - Motor 20 seconds then, 30-second cooling period
2nd - Motor 20 seconds then, 2-minute cooling period
3rd - Motor 20 seconds then, 5-minute cooling period
4th - Motor 20 seconds then, 30-minute cooling period
Generator Limits
Inflight: +50 to -2 AMPS
Ground/Inflight Voltage: 28.0 to 28.5 Volts
Note: If generator amperage or voltage is continuously outside this range with the PCL at 80% N1 or greater while on the ground or in flight, notify maintenance after the mission. If generator voltage is continuously below 25.0 V, available battery power is degraded and air cruise and should land as soon as practical.
Temperature Limitations
Maximum IOAT for start is 80°C
Ground operation is limited to ambient temperatures of -23°C to +43°C. Ground operation during ambient temperatures above 43°C is permitted for up to 15 minutes for the purpose of taxiing the aircraft to park.
Propeller Ground Operation Limitations
Sustained propeller operation on the ground between 62 and 80% Np is prohibited to prevent damage from ground residence.
Maximum Operating Airspeed/Maximum Operating Mach Number
316 up to and including 19,020
Mach 0.67 above 19,020
Maneuvering Speed Limitations
227 KIAS
Full rudder deflection above 150 KIAS, however, will exceed the limits for the rudder control system.
Zero G Time Limitations
Zero G is limited to 5 seconds maximum
Caution: Holding a zero G-loading for over 5 seconds can cause engine damage and possible engine failure, regardless of Oil Pressure indications.
Negative G Time Limits
Negative G operation (including inverted) is limited to 60 seconds.
The following sustained negative G limitations ensure recovery of the center section fuel tank:
- Negative G maneuvers within 60 seconds followed by 60 seconds upright (positive G) flight before conducting additional negative G maneuvers.
- Do not exceed -2.5 G for negative operation longer than 30 seconds.
Prohibited Maneuvers
Inverted Stalls Inverted Spins Aggravated spins past two turns Spins with PCL above idle Spins with landing gear, flaps, or speed brake extended Spins with PMU off Spins below 10,000’ PA Spins above 22,000’ PA Abrupt cross-controlled (snap) maneuvers Aerobatic maneuvers, spins, or stalls with a fuel imbalance greater than 50 pounds between wings Tails slides
Symmetric Acceleration Limits
+7.0 to -3.5 G’s
Gear and/or flaps extended +2.5 to 0.0 G’s
Asymmetric Acceleration Limits
Clean +4.7 to -1.0 G’s
Gear and/or flaps extended +2.0 to 0.0 G’s
For uncontrolled rolling maneuvers initiated at -1 G, the maximum bank angle change is 180 degrees.
Note: Exceeding the acceleration limits locks the max (or min) G reading on the PFD at the exceeded value in red text and cannot be reset without maintenance action on the ground.
Weight Limitations
Ramp 6950 Takeoff 6900 Landing 6900 Zero fuel 5850 Baggage compartment 80lbs
Landing Limitations
600 feet per minute (3.7 G’s) when main tires are serviced to normal landing conditions (185 +/- 5 psi)
780 feet per minute (5.1 G’s) when main tires are serviced to maximum landing conditions pressure (225 +/- 5 psi)
Crosswind Limitations
Dry - 25 knots
Wet - 10 knots
Icy - 5 knots
Max tailwind - 10 knots
Icing Limitations
Sustained operation in icing conditions is prohibited. The aircraft has been approved only for transit through a 5,000-foot band of light rime ice.
Maneuvers with ice accumulation are restricted to 30° bank angle and 0 to 2 G’s normal acceleration, up to stall warning system activation.
For the landing configuration and during the landing phase, with ice accumulation, approach speed must be increased by 10 KIAS. To ensure safe landing, make sure that sufficient forward cockpit visibility exists from either the front or rear cockpit.
Cockpit Pressurization System Limitations
Cockpit pressurization schedule limit is 3.6 +/- 0.2 psi
CKPT PX warning illuminates at 3.9 to 4.0 psi
Cockpit DP display changes to red and overpressurization safety valve opens at 4.0 psi
Canopy Wind Limitations
The canopy shall not be opened on the ground when the surface winds exceed 40 knots
