Connective - connects
Muscular - tissue that contracts

What is homeostasis? How does it keep us healthy?
The ability to maintain internal constancy. The loss of homeostasis is disease
What is disease?
Disease is something that gives you 2 or more signs and/or symptoms
What is the difference between a sign and symptom?
A sign is objective, a symptom is subjective
What is inflammation? What are the 4 signs/symptoms of inflammation?
Reaction to an irritant such as a burn, chemical, microorganism infection, or a splinter.
Red, heat, swelling, pain
What is the difference between acute and chronic?
Acute is sudden illness and chronic is long term illness
What microorganismes cause infection?
Bacteria, virus, fungi, Protozoa
What are the modes of obtaining an infection?
Airborne, direct contact, ingestion, normal inhabitant, across placenta, venereal, animals, insects, blood transfusion and others
