Systems Flashcards
What is the effect of pulling the hydraulic CB when in manual hydraulics?
It de-energizes the solenoid, and puts the hydraulics back on (the solenoid fails on)
What effect does switching off the hydraulics switch have?
It energizes a solenoid which turns the system off
How does the fuel valve move if the electrics go?
It doesn’t
Where does the freewheel oil supply come from?
MGB
Where is the hydraulic pump driven from?
MRGB
Where is the hydraulic filter?
Forward starboard side of doghouse
Where is the hydraulic reservoir?
In front of MGB
How many servo jacks does the hydraulic system supply?
3, or 4 before ship 497 where the tail rotor is hydraulically assisted
How do you check the gearbox oil level?
Sight glass on starboard side - best done within 10 minutes of landing on low skid aircraft
How do you check the tail rotor gearbox oil level?
Sight gauge on left rear, inside perspex panel
How is the freewheel lubricated?
From the MRGB
How many fuel tank transmitters are there?
2
Which hydraulic controls have irreversible jacks?
Cyclic and collective
Where is the engine oil cooler fan driven from?
2nd section tail rotor drive shaft
What is the hydraulic system pressure at 100% power?
600 psi
How do you check the engine oil level?
Dipstick in oil filler cap
Does the hydraulic system have an accumulator?
No
Is fuel level indicated by 2 console instruments?
No
