Systems Flashcards
How are systems often designed ?
With
Input, process and output
What is the process ?
A series of actions that are useually followed by an order
The system will work if the ‘process’ and input which always the process to start happening
What is an input ?
The place where a force enters a system
How does the system approach work as in step by step ?
- input starts the process
- process: the thought process in the middle
- output is rhetorical response or outcome
Example
Input: coin slot
Process: coin counter
Output: drink dispenser
What are the three communicating systems ?
- block diagrams
-flow charts - circuit diagrams
What are block diagrams ?
Clear and simple diagram showing all of the input, process and output elements
Example would be
Input- on and off switch
Electricity
Process- boiler and pump
Hot water
Output- radiator
Temperature
What are flowcharts ?
Clear diagrams showing the individual steps taken to make something
- Arrow means a connector
- Rectangle means a process
- Diamond represents a decision
- Parallelogram rperesnrs an input/ output
- Oval shape represents the start or end
What are circuit diagrams ?
Use simplified symbols to represent an electronic circuit and competent
