PT6-67P & PT6E-67XP
This airplane incorporates a twin shaft
turboprop engine with 4 axial and 1 centrifugal compressor Ng stages, an annular combustion chamber, and a 3 stage turbine where one stage drives the compressor and two stages
power the propeller.

Air enters through inlet → makes 180° turn into compressor section → 4 axial (straight)
flow compressors → 1 centrifugal compressor → fuel nozzles → ignition → compressor
turbine → 2 power turbines → exhausted

27
Q

What does the FCU do?

A

Delivers metered fuel to the 14 spray nozzles

28
Q

What runs on Py Air

A

Py from FCU goes to

1) Torque limiter

2) Nf governor

Both bleed the air as needed

29
Q

What three governors handle prop speed?

2 oil

One Py - Nf for fuel

A

Constant Speed Unit - CSU - Oil In & Out

Over speed - Oil Out

Nf - bleed Py air and handles reverse
