Engine Info
PT - 6A - 67P Reverse Flow 1,200 HP Mounted 2* down & right PT6-67P & PT6E-67XP This airplane incorporates a twin shaft turboprop engine with 4 axial and 1 centrifugal compressor Ng stages, an annular combustion chamber, and a 3 stage turbine where one stage drives the compressor and two stages power the propeller. Air enters through inlet → makes 180° turn into compressor section → 4 axial (straight) flow compressors → 1 centrifugal compressor → fuel nozzles → ignition → compressor turbine → 2 power turbines → exhausted
26
Oil Quantity & Type
3.6 Gallons Turbo 2380
27
What does the FCU do?
Delivers metered fuel to the 14 spray nozzles
28
What runs on Py Air
Py from FCU goes to 1) Torque limiter 2) Nf governor Both bleed the air as needed
29
What three governors handle prop speed? 2 oil One Py - Nf for fuel
Constant Speed Unit - CSU - Oil In & Out Over speed - Oil Out Nf - bleed Py air and handles reverse
30
List the components of the fuel system
2 x Main Tanks 2 x Collector Tanks 2 x H&L fuel Pumps 2 x Boost Pumps 3 x Drain Ports / Wing 4 x Jet Pumps 2 bypasses - Filter & L pressure pump
31
Describe the Oil system
3.6 gallons of 2380 Turbo 4 scavenger pumps 2 chip detectors 2 oil cooler doors
32
When should you consider using the Inertial Seperator?
Takeoff and landing Heavy precipitation FOD
33
