Systems Flashcards
Where is the pitch trim circuit breaker located
In the Flight group on the right circuit breaker panel
Can a copilots elevator trim thumb switch be overridden in
Yes the pilots thumb switch overrides the copilots
What does the bilevel trim disconnect button do at the first level
Disconnects the auto pilot and yaw damp and rudder boost systems
What does the bilevel trim disconnect switch do at the second level
Disconnects the electric elevator trim system
When can the manual trim control will be used to change the trim
Anytime the auto pilot is off
What is rudder boost
When system senses engine torque difference between the engines above a certain level the electric servo is actuated and deflects the rudder which assists pilot effort.
the servo contribution is proportional to the engine torque differential
What does prop sync button do
Activates propeller synchro phaser control unit
Where is the reversionary panel
Lower middle section of the instrument panel
What does DG switch do
Switches between free or manual mode and normal or slave mode which decides where the AHC gets its heading information from
What does the slew left or right switch do
Slew compass card either way
What does storm scope clear button do
Clear displayed images on the PFD or MFD and refresh to a new updated image
What does the pilot display switch do
Select the revisionary PFD or MFD display. Used if the PFD or MFD displays fail.
What does AHRS switch do
Used to select the attitude and heading source for the PFD and MFD displays
What does ADC switch do
Used to select the air data source for the PFD and MFD displays
What does emergency frequency switch do
A push-on push off switch which is used to force the number one VHF radio to tune to the emergency 121. 5 MHz frequency
What does the RMT tune switch do
Disable the auto tuning function of the CDU
What does GND COM ON switch to
Used to power the pilot side CDU and the number one VHF COMM radio when the battery switch is set to off only
What does cabin ALT HI warning light mean
Cabin pressure altitude exceeds 12,000 feet
What does CABIN DIFF HI warning light mean
Cabin differential pressure exceeds 6.9 psi
What do the bleed fail warning light mean
Melted or failed plastic bleed air failure warning line
What does L GEN TIE OPEN warning light mean
Left generator bus isolated from center bus
What does HYD FLUID LOW light mean
Hydraulic fluid in the power pack is low
What does RVS NOT READY warming light mean
Propeller levers are not in the high rpm low pitch position with landing gear extended
What does R or L FUEL QTY warning light mean
Less than 30 min remaining at max continuous power
What does AUTOFTHER OFF warning light mean
Auto feather switch is not armed and landing gear is extended
What does OXY NOT ARMED warning light mean
Oxygen arming handle not pulled or system failed to charge
What does R BL AIR OFF warning light mean
Right bleed air flow control valve is closed
What does PROP GND SOL warning light mean
28 V is being delivered to one or both ground idle low pitch stop solenoids
What does L IGNITION ON warning light mean
Left ignition and engine start switch is on or left auto ignition system is armed and left engine torque is below 17%
What does MAN TIES CLOSE warning light mean
Manually closed generator bus ties
What does R/L END ANTI ICE warning light mean
Engine anti ice vanes in position for icy conditions
What does L/R PROP PITCH warning light mean
Propeller is below the flight idle stop
What does CABIN ALTITUDE warning light mean
Cabin altitude exceeds 10,000 feet
What does PASS OXYGEN ON warning light mean
Passenger oxygen system charged
What does AIR COND N1 LOW warning light mean
Right engine N1 too low for air-conditioning load
How do the rudder pedals Control nose wheel steering
Direct linkage
What are the three flaps detents
Up
takeoff and approach
down
How is the nose and mainly Nager assemblies retracted and extended
Hydraulically
Where is the manual extension for the landing gear lever
Located on the floor on the pilot side of the pedestal
What does LDG / TAXI LIGHT mean
Landing lights are left on with the landing gear up
How long does it take for the hydraulic system to operate the gear either up or down
Approximately six seconds
How is the landing gear held in the retracted position
By system pressure
How is the landing gear held in the down position
Mechanically locked in place
How long does a hydraulic system take to recharge the accumulator after landing gear attraction
A few minutes
When does the landing gear warning system horn sound
With the flaps in either the up or approach position and either or both power leavers retarded below approximately 85% N1
What is the landing gear manual extension procedure
Pull the landing gear relay circuit breaker located to the left of the landing gear control on the left side panels.
remove the alternate extension handle from the secure clip and pump up and down.
Do not lower the handle below the level of the securing clip as this will allow pressure to bleed off.
If one or more annunciators do not illuminate the handle must not be stowed leave it at the top of the upstroke.
What type of tires on the aircraft
Main gear is 22x6.75 -10 10 ply tu less tires
Nose gear is 22x6.75-10 8 ply tubeless tires
How should seats be position before takeoff and landing
Lateral tracking seats should be in the outboard position m, all seat backs positioned up right, and all headrests fully extended to prevent injury to passengers
How many people can be on the air stare door stairway at any one time
Only one to prevent damage to door components
How does the cabin door seal
Uses cabin differential pressure with no connection to a bleeder source
What is the purpose of the disconnect safety mechanism on the flaps
Allows you to disconnect electrical power to flaps in the event of malfunction that causes flaps to be between 3 and 6 degrees out of phase of each other
