  1. Infection → Hep B/C, meningococcal septicaemia, streptococcus
  2. Underlying disease → cancer, Rheumatoid/SLE/IBD
  3. Cold injury
  4. Drugs → antithyroid drugs (carbimazole, Antibiotics (sulphonamides/penicillin)
